Clean candles (and products) for your home
We are passionate about creating candles and products that work well but are also good for you and our planet. Casey is a health care professional and our family has struggled with autoimmune conditions and sensitivities. We were determined to create candles that were safe for our family and for yours, but still met the performance criteria of a great candle.
There are lots of terms tossed around that are unregulated such as “natural” but even some natural substances can be harmful for your health. Essential oils, while they are components of many of our fragrance oils, they independently lack the strong hot throw that we all love about a great candle. While we use manufactured ingredients in our fragrance oils, we are very careful about their ingredient profile. Some features of our candles include:
Phthalate Free - free of chemicals that have potential to cause liver, kidney, lung and reproductive organ damage.
Coconut Apricot Wax - highly concentrated and slow burning, this is the nicest quality natural candle wax available on the market. It is one of the most sustainable, environmentally luxury waxes available today.
Carcinogen Free - no materials that are known or thought to cause cancer
Mutagen Free - no materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and potentially causing diseases like cancer
Acute Toxin Free - free of toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure
Organ Toxin Free - free of toxins that can cause disease or adverse effects on organs.
Reproductive Toxin Free - free of toxins that can adversely affect reproductive organs and increase risk of birth defects.

Cruelty Free
Natural Sustainable wooden wicks that are responsibly sourced.
Wood bowls that are recovered from environmental waste and repaired and repurposed (and locally refilled!) to lessen environmental impacts.
Our candles are made in small batches, and are hand poured. Most orders are custom made! You might not be some sweating or wet spots/frosting on our candles which are not flaws but rather speak to the integrity of the ingredients in that they don't contain binders or preservatives to change adhesive values. We don't refund for these naturally occurring elements of our clean ingredients…we celebrate them!
ENVIRONMENT, PACKAGING, and SHIPPING : While we know that “presentation is everything”, we also believe strongly in doing our part to help minimize the environmental impact of our organization. We choose our vessels based on their materials and environmental impacts, and most everything we produce can be either upcycled into something else, recycled or naturally biodegrades. We use post-consumer shipping for most of our orders because it reuses materials that would otherwise be discarded and it keeps the costs down for our customers. While our packages might look a bit less professional, we assure you the goodies inside are the high quality items you are expecting. We work hard to offer high quality goods with minimal environmental disruption, while also keeping them as affordable as possible.
WARNING: Be responsible candle owner. Candles should always be placed on a heat safe surface. They should not be left unattended. Candle should not be burned for more than 3 to 4 hour intervals, and wicks should be properly trimmed between burnings. Once wax has reached about 1/4-1/2 in in height, you should discontinue burning or you risk breaking the vessel (or possibly catching wood vessels on fire/breaking glass). It is imperative that you follow the burning instructions for our candles or any candle you might use! Candles that are burned too long can cause wick sliding and increased glass temperatures or container burning, creating fire hazards. You must be a responsible candle user; we are not held liable for candle hazards as the use of a candle is an assumed risk. The spRING COLLECTIOn - limited edition
New season, fresh starts. Our spring launch is the largest launch we have had yet. We are bringing back some ALL our beloved spring fragrances from last year (in limited quantities), and have added another seven new fragrances to enjoy. Strawberry Mimosa - Brunch just got better with fresh strawberries, bright currants, coconut and champagne for a sweet and bubbly morning.

Peach Rings - This is our daughter, Annika’s, favorite candy, so into a scent collection it went! Sweet peach nectar and mandarine oranges combine with sugar crystals, violet petals and vanilla to bring you your fix!

The SUMMER Collection - Limited Edition
Summer is here and nothing screams summer like the scents of the season. We had a great time trying to capture some of our favorite summer moments in our limited edition summer collection.
Sunkissed - that warm feeling on the skin; the dreamy in-between moment when you are lying on the beach barely awake; that feeling of sand between your toes and your people laughing around you….meet Sunkissed. A surprising and complex scent that captures these summer moments with citrusy top notes of bergamot and sweet orange, that sink into a heart of night-blooming gardenia and creamy coconut. Finishing out a rich base of amber, musk and vanilla, you will realize your day at the beach left you sunkissed.
Ice Cream Truck - who can resist the melodic chimes of the ice cream truck? A nod to the classic Orange Creamsicle, this nostalgic scent is true to its name. Sunwashed Denim - a gentle breeze on a warm summer day - we tried to capture that idyllic atmosphere. Like your favorite pair of worn denim jeans, this scent will hit the notes of fresh cotton blossom and sweet coconut mingled with dry wood, clean powder, and flirty musk. Bright and happy citrus notes complete the scent like rays of sunlight. Kisses!
The Greenhouse Collection
We bought our 120+ year old home and it came with a well worn greenhouse in need of repair. We have slowly restored it to a creative place of life and inspiration, and it has inspired our newest collection! Calling all those who get their hands dirty; we think you’ll be in love…
Greenhouse - that morning sun, aromatic florals, lush greens, and moist air that just fill the room. This one transforms with hints of green leaves, carnation, jasmine, lilac and lily of the valley.
Honeysuckle + Jasmine - no southern garden is complete without the climbing vines of jasmine and the nostalgic smell of fresh honeysuckle.
Watermint + Clementine - fresh orange peels enveloped in an herbal bouquet, this citrus toned basil scent is fresh and clean!
Garden Mint - fresh and clean, slightly fuzzy and strong, garden mint will leave you with cool, fresh woody notes of the garden plant.
Lily of the Valley - such a delicate and difficult fragrance to capture, the petite lily of the valley strikes so many memory chords for so many. Enjoy your notes of soft lily, hyacinth and wet greens!
The Gardener - you know the smell of dirt, herbs, earth, and freshly cut grass. Earthy as you are!
Sweet Peony - when a little touch of bubbly prosecco hits the enchanting notes of the alluring peony. Sweet, floral and vibrant!
Tomato Leaf - if you know, you know. Tomato plant lovers will instantly recognize this very specific scent. A highly controversial inclusion in our collection, but the familiar and surprisingly curious earthy scent will have true vine lovers hooked.
Sea Salted Orchids - tropical orchids combine with jasmine and ozone to bring you a touch of the salt of the sea, at home in the greenhouse.
The Market Collection - Limited Edition
We are excited to bring you some of our favorite scents, inspired by candles you know and love from some of your favorite home stores. Our market candles are a hefty nine ounces of beautifully crafted wooden wicked wax hand-poured inside a smooth ceramic vessel. You can clean our vessel out after you finish the candle and use it again and again - our favorite way - as a planter! Simply add a few rocks, soil and then enjoy! Looks great as a hanging planter too!
Rosemary Baguette - Fresh-picked garden rosemary nestles within sweet notes of vanilla and warm-baked bread spiced with crushed green sage, chopped parsley, and white thyme. Warm herbed bread, what’s not to love?

The Carolina COllection
We love our home state. North Carolina is so diverse and brings outstanding variety to our Carolina Collection of candles. We have captured some of the tried and true scents of our state and are excited to offer them to you!
Haymount - Our signature scent of the long leaf pine sandhills region and home to our beloved historic district. Notes of roasted pine cones, gardenia and tuberose highlight our neighborhood and fabulous historic homes.

Pumpkin Paradise Farm COllection
One of the most magical places on earth, our Wisconsin family farm inspired this wonderful collection of scents. Growing up on a pumpkin farm means you have a very special place for Octobers, and this collection highlights our favorite parts of the season. It is also were our candles debuted!
Pumpkin Paradise - When you have a pumpkin farm, different varieties need to shine! As such, this signature scent includes blue pumpkin, persimmon, cinnamon, oak and clove with a touch of ginger!
Hayride - Jump on the flatbed and settle in with notes of roasted chestnuts, birch trees, leather and gentle rain for a soft fall feel.
The Orchard - we had a simple but beautiful orchard and maple trees on the farm and this scent offers a mix of spiced honey, apple, pear, bourbon and maple with a hint of nutmeg!
Spring Planting - a light scent of optimism and hope as seeds enter the ground for future harvest. This scent includes the calming scents of bamboo, rain, and teakwood to welcome spring!
The Woods - the farm has a birch grove and pine tree lane at the entrance and the trees have welcomed visitors for ages and this scent honors them with touches of juniper fir, balsam spruce, birch bark, fig and cypress.
Harvest - no season is complete without picking pumpkins, crunching leaves, and chilly air. This fresh scent combines greens, leaves, lemon, spiced apple, and musk to welcome in a bountiful crop.
The Weekend Collection
Weekends mean something special for everyone. The welcoming aromas of a fresh cooked breakfast, the feeling of possibility in the air, and the little bit of extra time to enjoy a little more breathing room. We designed our weekend collection to embody some of our favorite parts of weekend fun.
Sunshine + Optimism - Lavender and lemon combine in this uplifting scent, giving the feeling that about anything might be possible!
Gram Gram’s Waffles - No trip to the farm is complete without a breakfast of Grandma’s famous waffles. Topped with newly tapped maple syrup and fresh picked blueberries, the aroma is hard to beat!
Coffee + Contemplation - Stranger Things fans unit with our Hopper quote candle, but he did sum it up perfectly when he said, “Mornings are for coffee and contemplation.” Notes of dark roast coffee, caramel, and rum combine in this creamy cup.
Cinnamon Roll - EB Sweets is our daughter’s bakery, and her specialty is freshly baked cinnamon rolls. She spends her Saturdays serving them up at the local farmers market and this candle shares the sweet smells of bakery dough, cinnamon, and vanilla buttercream icing.
Botanical Gardens - We have a love for beautiful gardens and the peace that they bring. This floral scent offers a beautiful blend of gardenias, tuberose, lemon peels and green florals to elevate your home with garden beauty.

The Military Collection
We are a proud military family and belong to an exceptionally strong community of military families. We are excited to offer our military collection to honor those that serve and in memory of those that have given their all for our nation and our freedom.
The Brave - Earthy notes of classic rosemary and sage to honor the salt-of-the-earth heroes that keep us safe.
Freedom - Clean and optimistic, the notes of coconut milk, sandalwood, amyris and tonka bean remind us of our opportunity to appreciate the feeling of freedom.
Deployment - The challenges of time at war and families separated by distance, our deployment candle has rich notes of bergamot, heilotrope, vanilla bourbon, and leather oak to strike faith in the reunion to come.
Homecoming - The excitement of a fabulous reunion is embodied by citrus zest, morning mist, rosewood, amber and cedar twigs giving a mood to set the scene.

The society collection - if you know, you know
“Are you those candle people?” Ha…yes, we are. It occurred to us that some people were treating our candle collections like an underground secret and it was way too much fun. People were seeking us out as if it were a part of a secret club to create their custom candles. What to do when you have this problem? You create a Society Collection featuring some fan favorites and we are sure there will be more added. As for the scents, if you know, you know…
Bookworm - Beautiful worn library pages with notes of rosewood, lignin, worn leather, cedar and sandalwood - book lovers know the smell. Read-on!
Boulangerie - The fabulous aroma of freshly baked artisan bread. Crispy, golden exterior crust with a soft, chewy yeast filled interior, notes of oats, dough and melted butter.
Sexy Linen - Upscale prestigious scent, this beautiful fragrance features a complex blend of white tea, lemon, ozone, and sandalwood notes.
Super Fit Ladies - Richly complex and always surprising, Super Fit Ladies combines fabulous soft florals of Moonflower Nectar (from the mysteriously midnight blooming flower), neroli, orange blossom, wild lilac leaves, ylang ylang, Turkish Rose, and sugared tuberose, and then adds strength from white musk, sandalwood, guaiacwood.
Target Run - Ok, admit it, this makes us happy. The “necessary” errand that might happen a little more often than it is required, and possibly ends in redecorating your house, this candle will inspire another trip with notes of Acacia honey, white peach nectar, orange mandarin, gardenia and rose water, clover, vanilla and musk.
Never Skip Leg Day - Got it, Batman…but did you die? Elevate your workout routine with notes of cedar, lavender, musk, mahogany, oak and geranium.
The Midwest Goodbye - Stand up, state “Welp I really should get going,” then stretch, hug, walk to the door, chat, explain you really “should be going”, hug again, accept gifts from the garden or kitchen, enter doorway, continue chat through driveway, and move into the front porch wave….of course, accept the loving concern to “watch for deer.” Some things are decidedly Midwestern, and this is one of them. We celebrate with a combination of freshly baked zucchini bread (because someone always has a zucchini to share), sweet bread, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, cream and dark roast coffee!
The southern collection
Uniquely and sweetly unapologetic, the South offers an array of sayings, values and traditions all their own. We are now a hybrid family of Midwestern raised parents now raising southern children, and loving every minute. We have embraced southern living and want to share it with y’all !
Southern Gent- Deep, sexy and enticing. Curled up in a leather chair with an old book and a vintage brandy, this scent is all the masculine vibes of tobacco, bergamot, geraniums, leather, rosemary and candied oranges.
Bless Your Heart - Oh yes. Sharp and sympathetic, derision at its finest. This conflicted “sweet but not ugly” scent is perfectly that. Effervescence, sparkling orange zest, violets, pink guava and vanilla combine to bring the perfect zing!
Gimme Some Sugar - A sign of honest affectionate love, this scent will warm your heart with notes of pink peppercorn, tea rose petals, soft cotton, warm amber, cashmere musk, sun-kissed suede and spun sugar.
Front Porch - Take your sweet tea sippin’ up a notch and relax on the quintessential Southern porch with fresh peaches, vanilla, greens, musk and sugar. You know that skin of the peach fresh smell? This is it!
I’m Fixin’ to Y’all - Southern slang gettin’ it done. Notes of bergamot, pine, patchouli, sandalwood and florals team up for a hard won day of good old solid work.
Cheers, Darling! - Celebrate the victories. Weddings, engagements, graduations, showers and more, there isn’t anything that doesn’t call for a Southern party. Pop the cork in Southern fashion with notes of sparkling champagne, pink passionfruit, juicy tangerine, hibiscus and sugary musk.
Fayetteville - A nod to our Southern Home. Gritty, growing and strong, our city is full of value and promise. We tried to capture its potential with complex notes of lavender, smoke, woods, musk and vanilla. Cheers Fayetteville!
The fall collection - limited edition
Fall means refreshing cool air, warm sweaters, crisp falling leaves, and cozy nights. Our limited edition fall candles help celebrate the transition to arguably the best season out there with yummy fall feels!
Spiced Pumpkin - This one took forever, but we feel that we found the best spiced pumpkin scent mix out there including notes of Pumpkin, Nutmeg, Clove, Cinnamon, Smoke, and Vanilla.
Take a Hike - Go take a Hike! (really). This mountain air scent combines notes of Eucalyptus, Blue Sage, Cedarwood, Smoked Ember and Citrus.
